DIY Hair and Face Masks

Summer is spent in pools and by the beaches so what does that mean for your hair and skin? If you're like me that means that you look a bit dry and drab. You're in dire need of a pick-me-upper so try these DIY pamper kit. It's all made up of things you already have or can easily get access to (inexpensively):

**Caution, please don't try if you're allergic to any of the ingredients.**

Hair/ Scalp:

A split avocado in a white bowl


  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 TBS coconut oil
  • 1 TBS honey
  • 1 egg
Warm in the microwave for 15 seconds and then mix thoroughly. Apply onto hair while massaging into scalp. Wait 20 minutes then shower. Tada, smooth hair!

Face/ Skin:

Cucumber sliced on white background

Moisturizing + Depuffs

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 distilled water
  • cotton pads

Blend cucumber and water together. Freeze. Thaw before using. Isn't it so cool? It'll help alleviate "summer skin" especially when you have sunburns.

Reducing & Calms Dark Circles

  • 2 Green Tea Bags
  • Warm Water (Not hot water)

Soak tea bags in warm water for a couple of minutes then take them out to freeze (the tea bags). Place over each eye, whether thawed or not, for at least 10 minutes.

Reduces Fine Lines

  • Whisk or something to whisk with
  • Egg whites

Whisk two egg whites until frothy and "firm" then apply underneath the eyes or wherever you feel needs that extra help like smile lines.
